About the role
This is an exciting time to be joining our team based in Liverpool and being involved in supporting the port activities as a rope handler. You will be required to assist with the mooring and unmooring of vessels within Liverpool docks.
This is a flexible opportunity and you may be requested to work day, evening and weekend shifts.
Your daily responsibilities will consist of:
Mooring and unmooring of vessels within the Liverpool docks.
The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:
Be at least 18 years old (for insurance purposes).
Able to work with a considerable amount of lifting and hauling of heavy mooring lines.
Able to swim.
Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Adaptable due to the changing hours and schedules.
Able to work as part of a team.
Previous seamanship or maritime experience desirable.
Previous mooring experience would be advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.
