About the role
This is an exciting time to be joining our team based in Liverpool and being involved in supporting the port activities as a port operative. Our comprehensive range of port services, including rope handling, cargo loading/discharging and terminal management, has been pivotal in supporting the port and logistics sectors
This is a flexible opportunity and you may be requested to work day, evening and weekend shifts.
Your daily responsibilities will consist of:
Assisting with vessel load/discharge including cargo and passengers ships
Working as a slinger banksman
Operating plant – FLT, telehandler etc
Traffic marshal duties
The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:
Be at least 21 years old for insurance purposes
Have a full driving licence
Have valid Forklift and Telehandling tickets/licence
Have a minimum of 12 months can driving experience (in order to comply with our insurance) with no more than 6 points on the driving licence and no drink driving disqualifications.
Excellent communication skills.
Smart appearance.
Successful candidates will be expected to attend Health and Safety Induction and a car driving assessment. You will be subject to Identification checks, referencing and DVLA checks.
