Pathfinder sister company SCH has added to its menu of maritime support services by establishing a new security guard business which will operate nationwide.
The port terminal operators already provide a wide range of services including stevedoring, valet car parking, mooring and ships’ agency, at ports such as Southampton, Liverpool, Sheerness and Portsmouth.
Setting up Viper Maritime Security (VMS) will expand the activities Pathfinder and SCH carry out for clients such as those in the cruise ship and roll-on/roll-off sectors, and will expand job opportunities further for agency staff.
All personnel will be fully Security Industry Authority approved and VMS will offer services including static guarding, mobile guarding, cruise ship and passenger terminal security on a 24/7 basis.
SCH Director Kevin Hulme explained: “VMS will offer comprehensive security services in the port industry and beyond, enabling us to continue our diversification and expanding our offering to customers that we already serve such as those in the cruise ship sector.”
